Karachi Gerry's: Status update...?

Hi Guys, my wife applied for a dependant T1G visa on Feb 9th in Karachi. Today the Gerry's website shows the status as: "Processed Application returned TO AC - March 2nd 2011".

When we called Gerrys, they said its been sent for further processing to Islamabad and they will inform us in due time when to collect the passport.

I had 2 queries:

1) Has anyone else experienced this status update and what it means? I'm guessing it means that Abu Dhabi are done with the application, but then I dont understand why it would be sent to Islamabad? As its only been 3 weeks since the application, I'm a bit nervous as it seems to quick for them to have done all the checks.

2) Are Gerry's reliable in contacting applicants timely, or should we keep checking if we dont hear by early next week.

When I applied for my wife's visa I did some research on the route these passports take from the applicant and back to the main applicant..

According to my understanding....after the decision has been made in Abu Dhabi....passports come back to Islamabad.....if the visa is approved...they do the stamping...and if refused..they print the letter....means all the printing is done in Islamabad..not in Abu Dhabi...

What I did when my application's status changed to that.....I phonned Abu Dhabi.....and luckily got a nice, cooperative lady that told me the decision and asked me to start packing.... but it took some time to get the call from Gerry...

So don't worry.....you will hear from the Gerrys very soon....

may I please ask you how many days after the application did you get the visa...? What number can I please call in Abu Dhabi?

My concern is that it has only been 2.5 weeks since we submitted the application and so am nervous why it has been processed so quickly?
