Application for Spouse Visa, "Life in the UK test"

Post by lena66uk » Mon Mar 07, 2011 11:01 am

Hello to everybody on the forum,

I will be shortly applying for a spouse visa having married to a British citizen. Several years ago I lived in the UK and passed my"Life in the UK test".

My question now is:
Is it conceivable to utilize this certificate for my Spouse visa application or is it necessary to take the ESOL test to satisfy new requirements for partners?

From what I understand, the KOL is equivalent to ESOL3, although the only requirement is the ESOL A1 level.

Please, can anyone advise me on this confusion.

Many thanks in advance for any help offered.
