H-1B visa processing time

Post by wp_to_tier1_168 » Mon Jan 10, 2011 2:49 pm

Hello members,

I checked US Embassy London website and it says the processing time for non-immigration visa (including H-1B) is 4 working days. On the other page they also mention that it's about 5 to 10 working days. From most of your experience, how long would the H-1B visa normally take after the interview with no addimistrative process required? Thanks for your clarification!

Best Regards!

It can take anywhere from 2 to 6 months. Premium processing is that USCIS will have a decision of your case within 15 days. Applying for premium processing will not increase your chances for getting H1B approval notice.

The H-1B application process is complicated not only from a timing perspective, but also because a number of forms are required, and applications must be filed with both U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services and the Department of Labor.
