Do I need to apply for extension to stay to make up 5yrs?

Hi all,

Do I need to apply extension to stay before I apply ILR in order to make up 5 years qualify ? ( I entered UK 20days after visa grant)

HSMP : 08/FEB/2008 - 08/FEB/2010

Enter to UK : 28/FEB/2008

Tier 1(general) : 08/FEB/2010 - 08/FEB/2013

You may apply for ILR between Thursday, 31 January 2013 and Thursday, 7 February 2013.

Vinny,
I have a friend who was given leave to remain in UK as work permit holder from 15th May 2006- 12th May 2011.
when is the earliest date he can apply

earliest one can apply on SET(O) is 28 days before completing 5 years. So its either 28 days before 15th May 2011 (assuming in country application) or 28 days before 5 years from date on which he entered UK on WP(if out of country application)
