Biometrics and Bank Statement issues PSW! Please Help!

Post by jesic11 » Tue Mar 22, 2011 4:07 am

Hi everyone, please I need help and advice on this issues.

I submitted my application on the 27th of Jan 2011. Before sending out my app, I was house hunting and planning to move from my previous address, but I had to send out my app before my current leave expired on 31st of Jan, which was why I applied before I was sure of a new address.
So on my app form, I put a diff address on the correspondence ( i.e. where I wanted to be contacted by the HO regarding my app) alongside my previous address, which I put on d form as my home address. Anyway, I got my ack letter sent to correspondence (as it is meant to be) and was waiting to receive my BM letter there as well. I finally got a letter saying that I failed to book and enrol my biometrics and now I no longer have an option of the post office and I'm warned to call, book and enrol my biometrics within 15 working days from this letter or I'll be refused from non-compliance. I was really shocked by this, as I did not get a letter inviting me for biometrics. Anyway, I booked and enrolled my biometrics 5 days later cuz that was the only appt they had and I made some investigations of my own and found out that they sent the first letter to my previous address and not correspondence address. By so doing, they made me late in enrolling my biometrics, I called to ask if it is a problem, but not one will tell me. Do you think it is a problem, or am I worrying over nothing? Someone told me that maybe an issue cuz they might think I have an issue releasing my details, thats why I failed to enrol earlier and for me, I don't know if my case worker would find it that way, because I applied since 27th of Jan and only did the biometrics on 11th of March. It's really bugging me.

Also when I sent my app, I included my bank statement from oct 11 -jan 15. They were the original bank statements by post and had over the £800 fund. But the problem is that oct- dec did not have a cover page/ summary sheet (i.e the first page that has your acct summary for the month and address etc). However I had lots of transactions everyday, so the transaction sheets had the date, month and year on each page of the statement, the money I spent and the balance in my acct (which was over £800) my name, sort code, acct number, bank logo, name etc. The only prob is that they was no summary on the front page from oct - dec, but the transaction page showed everything like dates, balance etc. I also attached a note on the bank statement, stating that the front cover/ summary page of the bank statement is missing. But the dates can be seen on the left hand side on the document beginning from oct 11 2010. The jan statement was fine and had summary sheet and transactions.... I don't know if this may be a problem, please I need advice? should i be worried? I don't want to be refused, can't cope with that... I might be over acting.. sorry :-(.

Thanks as I await your response....

i think it was just a mistake from caseworker.

it should have been sent to your correspondence address. but dont worry about it.

Have you done biometrics yet?

Your statement should satisfy ALL the requirements as mentioned in the guidance. To the best of my knowledge, there is no requirement of "summary sheet".

As long as it satisfies all the things ASKED in guidance, the statements wil be asscepted as evidence and you will be granted relevant points

Cheers

PS. It would help other members who have some input for you, if you summarise your post with couple of key questions in the end that you really would like answering

If i were you, i would write a nice covering letter explaining the reason why you only got around to give biometric details on 11th March and submit it via Change of circumstances form.

Yes, there are countless reasons why someone would NOT want to give biometric details but dont concern yourself with that non-sense as you are a genuine applicant and not someone who is trying to circumvent the rules.

Even CoC form is a bit excessive but, if i were you i would submit it for extra peace of my mind

I think you're worrying about nothing, since you have booked the biometrics appointment already, and the issue with the bank should not be a problem.
