Documents for T1 Dependant

Hi,

I am on T1 General and living in UK from last 9 months. When I applied for my visa an year ago I submitted bank statements on dot matrix printer's printout without bank logo but it was signed and stamped.

Now when I am applying for my Wife's T1 Dependant many people are saying that the bank statements like this are invalid and it should have a bank logo or on bank letter head... STAMP AND SIGN WILL NOT DO.

It is very difficult to get bank statements on bank letter head.

Please advice

Obtain a letter from your bank stating the minimum balance you have maintained for the period. The letter should also state that the account is accessible at will and money can be withdrawn at any time.

It is a much better option than statements anyway.

Thanks for youre reply chosenaik. I have bank statements in dotmatrix print stamped and signed but without bank logo. I also have a letter from bank stamp and signed which states that I have minimum XYZ amount from last 4 months..

IMHO I think that should be enough. I had submitted only a letter from Natwest (for my wife's spouse visa), and that was sufficient.

I submitted no bank statements at all.
