naturalization and economic activity

Post by darksun » Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:29 am

Hi,

I was looking at naturalization on ukba website and reading the guidance, I read this

Evidence of exercising Treaty Rights for 5 years
• P60 tax certificates covering the relevant period of 5 years

So do we need to be working after getting ILR? I mean of course I can imagine it's better than not to be. It's just I wonder on the day of application do you need to be working?

Thanks for comments...

The statement you refer to is relevant for EEA citizens (and their family members) who have been in the UK under EEA regulations.

You have been in UK as a WP and Tier 1 migrant so it doesn't apply to you.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
