Tier 1 General Dependent Query

Post by norealidpls » Sat Apr 02, 2011 2:29 pm

Currently I am in Tier 2 and applied for Tier 1 general on April 01. My wife joined me 25th March as a Tier Dependent and she would stay with me for 3 weeks till 20th April.

While applying for Tier 1 General visa, I never applied for my dependent visa as anyway she would travel by 20 April and no way that I could get her passport with Tier 1 Dependent status. Now my question is,

1. Will my application would be turned down as I didnt apply for my dependent as she stays with me while I covert from Tier 2 to Tier 1?

2. When she travels by April 20 back to India, there is a good amount of chance that my application would be processed. Will it create any problem for her at the london airport / mumbai airport.

Can someone help me with this query please

1. No.
2. Your application has nothing to do with whether or not she travels while your application is under consideration.
3. She will have no problem in exiting UK / entering India.
4. If your Tier 1 application is approved, she must then apply for entry clearance as dependant of Tier 1 (General) migrant before travelling to UK next time.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
