Accountant Myself - Accountant letter for dividend/salary?

Post by nahmed » Sat Apr 02, 2011 4:21 pm

Hello Guys,

I am getting prepared for my Tier1 G - Extension appointment at Sheffield PEO in 2 weeks time.

My query is regarding the accountant letter if I can do it myself and sign it. I am a Chartered Accountant myself, 100% director/owner of my company which is an accounts firm. I obviously do all the documentation myself for my company. Now I need some advice re the accountant letter which needs to accompany my income evidence.

My income source would be the monthly salary + dividends from my company business account into my personal account. I will be taking the following:
12 x Payslips.
12 x dividend vouchers.
12 months personal bank statements.
P60 for 2010/11 as it matches the exact income period.
HMRC tax coding notice as employee of my company.
Accountant letter to support the above as per the format.

* What do I do re the accountant letter please?
* Also do you guys think the above documents suffice as evidence for income?

Thank you in advance.

Ahmed

Despite your qualification and membership, an applicant cannot certify documentary evidence(s) for his / her own application - when the (implicit) requirement is that this be done by a certified "neutral / external" party.

Hi sushdmehta

Just a quick one. Other than the accountant letter, do you think that the rest of the evidence should suffice for me?

Thanks

Hello Guys,

I need to post out my extension application on monday 4th April 2011. I need to do some final checks and get some advice if the income supporting docuements that I am sending would suffice and if you guys could add something for me.

Income structure (salary+dividend) from my 100% owned company and the income period claimed is 1st Apr 10 to 31 Mar 11.

1) 12 x Payslips
2) 12 x Dividend Vouchers
3) 12 months personal bank statements receiving the above.
4) 2010/11 P60 (matches the salary figures for the above period)
5) HMRC empoyee coding notice for myself. (I have other employees as well.)
6) External Accountant letter to confirm/verify the above.)
7) External Accountant Payment sumary letter re each payment type /date in my personal account. e.g a table of Type: salary, month. Receipt in Personal account : date, etc

I actually have a date booked at a PEO for 15th April but the new fees are just too much for me so a last minute decision to post before 5th april.

Your views / advice would be highly appreciated.

Regards

Ahmed
