Maintenance funds for Dependent of Tier -1 General visa hol

I am in UK from less than 1 year on Tier 1. I am going to apply for Dependent visa for my wife and child (2 years' old) on 3rd December,2010. I understand that I have to show (1600 for each dependent and 800 for main applicant(me)) maintenance funds of GBP 1600+1600+800=4000/-. Please confirm whether I am correct.

No Gaurav, you need 2800+1600+1600 = 6000

2800 for yourself (as haven't completed one year in uk) and 1600 each for each dependent. 90 days in account, and you'd be good.

Main migrant outside the UK (yet to enter UK to live & work there) = 2800 for self + 1600 for each dependant.
Main migrant in the UK for less than 12 months = 800 for self + 1600 for each dependant.
Main migrant in the UK since more than 12 months = 800 for self + 533 of each dependant.

Thanks Sushdmehta. I am confident you are correct, as per Home office regulations I will show GBP 4000.00 (1600x2+800). Will come back after I get the Home office decision regarding issuance of dependent visas to my wife and baby.

Hello
I'm quite confused on this one.

I was on a Tier 1 PSW from Jan 2010 to Dec 2010 (12 months)
Then on a Tier1 General (4 months)

What maintenance funds should I be showing for my dependent ?

Hi, i have a query on dependant maintenance of funds, i am already in the uk for 5 years now i am applying for my wife dependant visa i am on tier 1, for maintenance of funds its 800+533 dats means 1333 does dis amount has to be in any ones account or has to be in only main applicants account i have a full time job as well just this confusion which is driving me crazy.
