Visa for my Partners Father to come to UK permanently

Post by sanjayrocks » Fri Apr 15, 2011 4:08 pm

Hi,

We plan to get visa for my partner's father(staying alone in china - wife passed away few years back - both daughters living out of UK for the last 6-10 years) so he can come and stay with us in uk. Is there a visa category that he can come and stay with us so he doesn't need to leave UK. My partner has ILR to remain in the UK and im under Unmarried Partner Visa.

1) He will turn 65 by next May 2012
2) Received all the health documents and the solicitor informed the documents related to his health condition is sufficient.
3) Do we have to submit the application to Chinese embassy in china so can apply on behalf of my partners father rather than sending the application to home office uk?

4) Since my gf calls him using skype, we can only have that record including date time and duration of calls. Is that sufficient for phone records?

5) What kind of letter i should get form estate agent regarding the property we stay in support of the visa.

6) Do please let me know what kind of other documents we should have in order to strengthen our case

Thank you
