Visitor visa for spose

Hello

I'm in the UK on Tier 1 visa.

a. Is it possible to apply for a visitor visa for my wife and child and get them in UK, and then later on switch to Tier 1 dependant visa at the end of the visitor visa validity

b. Is a tenancy contract mandatory for the application of visitor / tier 1 dependant visa?

c. I am in the UK for less than six months. What should be the maintainance amount to be shown incase i apply for tier 1 dependant.

A. No it is not possible to switch from a visitor to tier 1 dependent

B. No it is not mandatory.
