How long have you been married? You are going to Ireland for a short holiday and then back to Pakistan? Will you be visiting any other countries during your trip?

Ireland does not seem to have an embassy in Pakistan.

The list of Irish documents required is http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Fa ... EU_Citizen

many thanks guru forthe reply . we have been married for about one year and 7 months and marriage
is registerd in pakistani foreign owhich is just like home office .
and we planed to apply for the eu 4 family card once in ireland .
as my wife never been in ireland so we can not get the d class join the spouse visa.
and according to directive 2004 to accompany the eu spouse for a visit bank statement ,employment details etc should not be asked
and visa souold be issued with out fee.
i have seen schengen visa forms all above fields are marked with asterik and should not be filled by members of eu nationals.
i dont know how it works in practice.
as our destination is ireland. i rang a few months back to ireland consualte in karachi i was told to send email.
when i send email and ask about to accompany eu spous visit visa c class 60 days requiremets.
the email i received from consulate .
ask bank statement for 6 months . return ticket etc.
we had a low balance like 3 thousand pounds in bank so it was problem. now a few days back i send ireish consualte another email and i ask them
requiremt for c class visit visa to accompany eu spouse requirements.
they sent me i have to pay fee 7440 and some other stuff which was for spouse of irish natioanl .
but i think they still not getting what category i am applying the visa and arebe the exact requirements .
on inis web site i have check the requiremnts but still its not clear whether bank statement is req or not .
.
and if bank statement is req then may be we have to apply for a schengen visa and from over there to apply
the irish visa .
if any one knows how it works or what will be best to do in this situation please reply whether to apply for ireland visa or schengen.
and thanks in advance.

Please refer to this for info regarding visa.

For you to get EUFAM card from Pakistan is not possible/difficult because the EU citizen (your spouse) has to be in Ireland and exercising her treaty rights (meaning working/studying/self sufficient) for you to be able to get EUFAM4 (5 years residence card). She is at present in Pakistan with you.

For you to apply visitor visa for Ireland 3000 sterling as you mentioned is more than enough to show for a holiday for 30 days. It would not make difference wether you apply for Irish visa in France or apply from your country of residence (for less hassle I suggest from your home country)

One thing you need to remember, Ireland is not part of Schengen, meaning the form for schengen visa (which states that you don't need to furnish statements etc) is different and so does the rules and regulations. Getting visitors visa for Ireland is the most easiest process and quick enough if you have the right documentation.

You do not have to show any savings to get a visa if your spouse is a non-Irish EU national and you will be traveling with them.
