If UK Tier 1 (Dependant) Rejected, than?

Hi,

I am on tier 1 and my wife applied for dependant visa which got rejected on grounds of marriage subsistence and co-habitation. Now we have applied fresh with various proofs including registration papers of a property we booked in joint names just recently.

My question is below:
1) In the event this one also gets rejected, can my wife apply for a business visa (as we already have a job arranged in UK for her)?

I assume you mean visitor (business) visa.

One is not allowed to work on a visitor visa. Nor can one change immigration category (from visitor visa to dependant of Tier 1 migrant) from within the UK.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. What I meant is the company where my wife currently works has a business unit in the uk. So if the company provides with all due documentation, then can her visitor (business) visa get approved?

Does your wife intend to live and work in the UK? Or is she coming for a "official visit" sponsored by her employer and intends to return to continue her employment in another / home country?

What does she intend to use the business visit visa for? Is it so that she can come here to live with you or is it so that she can come here as a genuine business visitor for up to 6 months? A business visitor cannot work or receive a salary in the UK so the fact you are suggesting she has a job here suggests that she won't be coming as a business visitor but to work here.

I suggest you read the information from the UKBA webiste on business visitors and then come back if you have any further questions

My wife will be employed here in India and come over to UK as visitor (Business). It's just that we will be together and work will also go on.. So in the event her tier 1 depandant gets rejected once again, will it affect in any ways if she were to apply for visitor (business) visa?
