Hi.
2 questions:-
1) I have an over seas employer paying me every month to my UK bank. The last time I checked any payments made from over seas may take longer than 24 hours to reach the UK bank account. My question is when producing the employer letter that claims the payment made to the UK bank, what should be written in this letter (there are no pay slips in the over seas company so the letter is only evidence I can think of).
For example if the payment is made from the Gulf, at 100,000 units = 1000 pounds on 9 may 2011 and the payment reaches to the UK bank 13 may 2011. (I assume the letter on company headed paper would claim these earnings made in the unit of that country - gulf).
What should I ask my employer to write in the employment letter regarding the evidence for the payments. As the dates on my UK bank would not coincide with the date on the letter (the 3 or 4 days gap when the money transfer was made).
2) On a related note can I claim points for some of the previous earnings made via advance salary payments (the rest of the salary is paid after the 12 months period) and is there a law that says how many months in total can you claim salary in advance from an employer or this a freedom given to individual employers.
