Ilr reconsideration advice

Post by jbiz » Tue May 10, 2011 12:47 pm

i came into the uk in oct 2000 age 13 on a 6months visiting visa, my uncle was meant to be sorting out my student visa for me but he did not do it, as i was a kid i had no idea what visa meant. when i was finally 18 i found out and seek legal advice but was told there was no route to go through but to return to nigeria. i stayed and was arrested in june 2010 for working and staying her illegally. i went to prison for 3 months and was released in sept 2010. i applied for ilr under article 8 in september and was refused on the grounds that i over stayed and that i could continue my private life in the uk via other means through internet and was told no rights of appeal. my solicitor applied for judicial review under the terms that i was put in this situation and i have lost contact with my family in nigeria. home office agreed to reconsider and also agreed to give me a right of appeal if they refuse and this would be decided by 16th of july. i am looking for advice on what could happen
