Hi All,
I have just sent my ILR application on the basis of 10 years long residence (arrived in 2001) and hoping to receive it back in next few weeks with some positive result. I currently hold Tier2 (General) visa which is valid until February 2014.
My wife and three children ( under 18 ) who joined me in 2003 as my dependants in UK have not completed their 10 years in UK and thus needs to apply using FLR(M) application form once my ILR application is approved. Their leave to remain is also valid until February 2014.
My wife doest not have any alternative for A1 level English test although she is working full time for last four years in UK.
I have two questions here:
1. Is Life in UK test acceptable for them as as a proof of English language requirement?
We intend to visit our home country this summer (July/August). I do not want to send their application during this time and was planning to apply after coming back from holidays. My second question is:
2. Are we going to have any problem while coming back to UK? I will have ILR but my dependants entering as Tier2 (General) dependants. Please note that I will still have the same job for which I hold Tier2 (General) visa.
Your help and advise shall be highly appreciated.
Thanks and regards.
