No, it's not easy to get the job before you enter UK even though you obtain the Visa. I tried doing it but could not get through as every consultant/ employer would like to meet you personally. You can get in touch with the consultants beforehand and try to fix up some appointments.

Job With HSMP Decision Letter

Post by vashiedu » Mon Jul 17, 2006 12:20 pm

Thanks Ashekt

So what you are saying is that if i have the HSMP Decision letter, i can book interview appointments bifore applying for the visa? It normally will increase my chanses of getting the visa. Some people have gotten a positive HSMP Decision letter but were still denied visa. I want to avoid this.

Secondly, I saw this workpermit.com Assessment of eligibility for Sector Based Scheme(SBS) Work Permit Certificate. Can this be useful?

You can book an appointments to meet up the consultants and they will help you in looking for the job but i doubt you can apply for a job and fix up an interview. The moment they see u r not in UK, they are not bothered about your candidature.
Just don't worry about your Visa...it is not at all difficult, all u need to do is have all paper work to prove your funds for survival...
I can't comment on the SBS Wrok permit certificate as I have no clear idea for the same but if u are doing it for the sake of Visa then I guess you can get the Visa even without it.

Thanks once again. Thats sounds encouraging! Talking about funds, i how much do you think will be "enough" fund. I will be relocating with my wife; no kid(s) yet.

Secondly, how is the issue of accomodation taken. I have no body in the UK. I may need to rent my own accomodation before relocating. Does the embassey consider this as well? How do i manage this?

I guess the funds arnd 5 lacs wud be fine....they should be in the form of Bank Balance, FD's or property (not on loan). You can show any funds in your name or in your wife's name or joint and u can also show any funds or property which is joint along with your parents. That is my own experience and I have obtained the visa recently in Nov'05.

For the rented accomodation, there is a formality of filling the address of the place where you will be staying in UK. You can provide the address os any near or dear one's or friends and if not then u might be making some provision to stay so u can put that address. Well for me I had just said that I will look for accomodation once I am there and it was absolutely no problem.

Don't know what do you mean by 'enough funds'. As you know funds are indeed an imp. part of your Visa application, you need to show the appropriate money with you. The money need not to be in liquid cash but any sort of investment will do.
