ILR form for +18 YEARS DEPENDANT? Plz help..

Post by hellog123 » Mon May 16, 2011 4:51 pm

Hey guys, can anyone confirm if SET(o) form is a right form for the +18 years dependant for ILR. The main applicant falls under the Hsmp JR category.

She would have to fill the separate set(o) form under the 'others category' and u can state the reason for applying in that section. She dont have to necessarily live here for the full duration as yours. And yes she can apply at the same time as yours, u can put her application in the same envelope with different covering letters. You can also get a letter from her employer if she is working or the letter from the University if she is studying(though not mandatory). 1 declaration letter from the main applicant that she is still dependant and that should be signed by the main applicant(mandatory).
I hope that would be helpful.

P.S- I Applied in the same category as yours daughter and confirmed the requirements with the UKBA advisor.

If applying with the main applicant- SET-O
If applying alone-SET F

Sorry for 'hijacking' the thread, but here is another relevant question.

If an over 18 child is applying with the main applicant, when which is the correct way of booking an appointment at PEO:
- book only one 'family' appointment indicating all the dependants (spouse, child)?
- book two appointments - one 'family' including the child (as above) and one separate for the child?
- book two appointments - one 'family' excluding the child and one separate for the child?
