Now i am about to apply for the dependent visa for my son

How much should i show as maintenance funds and can i show Indian Rupees as maintenance funds

Like UK account GBP 2800+ Indian Bank account (INR 256000) for 3 monts or

is it mandatory to show only GBP

Yes you can show Indian Ruppes, the exchange rate should be checked at www.oanda.com, that's what British Embassy/High Commision use to check against the level of funds required!

Sometimes they dont even ask the updated documents and just issue you the visa,

if you have been asked, then please do submit it as there is no other choice, not maintaining funds over the period of appeal does not necessarily mean rejection again..

If you had a healthy account, and now have the required amount of funds you should not face any problems
