ILR at PEO or by POST which one is more positive

I agree with you, I meant many people are complaining delayed decision / lost application / payment issue etc.

Which one would be easier. That's what I meant.

What if:
You apply in-person but the caseworker defers a decision (due to some reason) - thereby effectively making your in-person application into a postal one - and then UKBA loses / delays your application?

The point being - no one can answer the "if"!

In-person applications are deemed "easy" by those (a majority) who get a decision on the same day, but deemed "waste of time and money" by those (a minority) who fail to get a decision on the same day (decision deferred).

No one but the caseworker can tell you whether he will make a decision on your in-person application on the same day or defer the decision because of some reason. And based on what he does, you may then arrive at a conclusion on what is easier and what is not.

Facts -
1. In-person application cost more. There is no guarantee of same day decision.
2. Postal applications are less costly. A decision may take months.

PEO is easier if
1.You have all your documents and application is relatively straightforward 2. Cost doesnt matter

My opinion is PEO is better for following reasons
1) It is fast
2) You are not exposed to the risk of case worker missing to look at given documents
3) If there are more documents required case worker can ask for it and one can provide such document from the pile of papers collected over 5 years
which you cannot send with postal applications
4) Any doubts on any thing can be clarified in person
5) Postal application have risks factor much higher. Any doubt/or additional documents required or case worker missing out on figures will result refusal first and then you go for appeal which is more tedious. Paying extra is worth. I do agree with Sush case is decided on merit.
