Tier 1 General Extension

Post by Freaked2011 » Sun May 22, 2011 12:34 am

Hi

I want to ask few questions if somebody can clear them for me please.
I got Tier 1 General migrant visa in June 2009 from Ireland with family. My extension is due in June 2012.

1. Currently I am making 70 points in total for my next year extension. The minimum required points are 75 and I am lacking by 5 points for my income. Can somebody confirm its affect on my application? Will it be rejected?

2. If I try another job and increase my income then I can qualify for another five points. Will it affect my visa conditions if I work at the weekends in non highly skilled category jobs ,Can this income be included to calculate the earning points for extension?

Please advice. It would be good to know from somebody's experience as well.

Many Thanks

If you don't have the minimum amount of points, you do not qualify for an extension. It's a requirement, not a guideline.

Yes, you can do another job to make up the points, just make sure that it's not cash in hand and that you get payslips and can show your earnings on a bank statement.
