That helps a lot of people to calm their nerves down whilst waiting for their approvals. Well I might be wrong if moderators think so
Once your local council receives your Citizenship Certificate they will then send you a letter inviting you to attend a citizenship ceremony.Mozart wrote:The problem I have is that I would like to go ahead and do the ceremony (as the council has the certificate), but I am not sure I can do this unless I actually have the approval letter in my possession. Hence the question about whether I need to take the letter to the ceremony with me.

I am going out of the Uk, last week of June. I rang home office today. Was told application registered on 29/03/11 but not been allocated to case worker, everything is going on time and will be dealt with within 6 months(ha ha, familiar!)
When asked about passports, a request has been put up for them to be returned in 10 working days. Told this won't usually delay the process unless case worker wants to see the passports for some reason.
Rang HO yesterday, spoke to an elderly lady, same answer, going through checks and is yet to be allocated to the caseworkerlionking007 wrote:CRITERIA - 5 Year Work Permit + 1 yr ILR
