ILR application from outside uk

Hello Friends,

I came to UK on work permit, intra company transfer (Infosys), on 8 April 2008, moved to tier-1 general on 24 May 2008.

So my question is weather the 5 years clock will start from 8 April or from 24 May 2008?

Also, I would need to leave UK around 15 March 2013 for MBA.

I have read that application for ILR can be made a month before completion of five years. So considering only the duration of my tier-1 stay from 24 May 2008 onwards, If I apply on 24 April 2013 from India, would it be a problem becuase of the fact that I would have left UK, that too on 15 March 2013 itself.

Regardless of all the criterions such as salary, number of leaves (90 days, 180 days etc ).

I L R can not be applied for outside the UK . Hence the word remain , meaning the desire to stay .
Not clear why you are thinking about 2013 now , as you will see from others posts things may be quite different in 2 years .

ILR clock started from 8/4/2008. Apply for ILR 28 days before, provided rules do not change.
