Tier 1 Extension. Please help

Hi

I got my Tier 1 in Aug 2009 and as of the points at that time I earn exactly what it makes 70 points to qualify to extend the stay ie 20 grands.
My extension is due next year. Can I apply for extension now?
Also Do u think that it makes a difference if you have EXCATLY THE POINTS NEEDED or MORE THAN REQUIRED POINTS?

No difference other than if any thing goes wrong in your application assessement you have still margin of extra points to qualifiy.

How someone got the Tier 1 Visa with 70 points. Did it was not required atleast 75 points. but you required atleast 75 points to extend your visa. Thanks
