Overseas assignment

Hi

Please advise ..

M ILR is due by feb 2012 .I am to join an overseas contractual opp in middleeast for 3 months and I would be paying my tax here in UK

is there any impact on my extension /settlement for me leaving UK for 3 months for this assignment

let me know your thoughts pls

Please read the following guidance document.

As far as I understand, you shouldn't have problem if you would be outside UK for less than 6 months and would have valid visas when you exit and re-enter.

The above guidance is applicable for ILR under long residence only.

Thanks for your reply ..

I would have anywas my valid visa when exit and entry back .but for this 3 month gap ,when I apply for PR ,Do I need to have an intermediate ILR for filling up this 3 month period

There is no intermediate ILR! If you will not qualify for settlement at the end of your 5 year period, you'll need to apply for extension.
