EC from US??

Hello All,

I haev recde. my HSMP approval 2 weeks back...

I planning for EC at mumbai and collecting docs. for the same..

Suddenly i need to go to US on H1 in next 3-4 days..

My question is "Can i get my EC done from US while i am on H1 visa ??"

I don't think that i will be coming back in next 6 months to India (which is the deadline to get EC done)

Please help me

I am not too sure if you can obtain the visa from US but y don't u call up the British High Commission and ask them...I am sure that's an unusual case and u need to be sure on your course of action...
One more thing...my understanding says that you need to obtain the EC within 3 months from the date of your HSMP approval letter and not 6 months...and if u obtain the EC but do not come to UK for next 6 months then again it wud b a problem as u wud have already lost 6 crucial month and u do need to give urself a bit of time looking for a job as well which can be a problem for ur extension as time spent out of UK after EC is considered to be -ve by HO.
You need to make a decision after considering all possible scenarios.
