Tier 1 Extension

Post by cgohil » Sat Jun 04, 2011 12:55 pm

Hi All,

I will be applying for my tier 1 extension in next month so would like to have few clarification regarding maintainance fund as well as earning evidence.

I have read the policy guidelines but wanted to clear my understanding.

Maintanance Fund and earning:-
1. My earning is coming into HSBC saving account so will it be fine if I show my saving account statement for claiming earning as well as maintainance fund along with salary slip (signed and stamped by employee)

I undderstood that ususally company pay salary into current account which I have not opted in my case.

2. Personal bank or building society
statements covering a consecutive 90 day
period: The most recent statement must be
dated no more than one calendar month
before the date of application.

What I understood is if I apply for my extension on 20th July I can not submit statement which is older thatn one month (less than 20th June date).

3. DO I still need to take sign and stamp on my HSBC orginal bank statment?

Thanks.

1. see guidance notes- both saving and current account are acceptable. :
165. Evidence must be in the form of
cash funds held in an account (this includes
savings accounts and current accounts even
when notice must be given). Other accounts
or financial instruments such as shares,
bonds, pension funds etc, are not acceptable,
regardless of notice period.

2. Yes

3. No need to sign and stamp original statement coming by post
