Guaranteed Visa Agencies

Post by JustKrys » Sat Jun 04, 2011 3:13 pm

Hi - I met my partner on March 3 socially and we have seen each other every weekend since. He is a Japanese National working in Holland. We had been speaking on the Internet since January / February.

We want to be together and got engaged as come May next year he would have been able to apply for a European Visa having been in Holland post study for 5 years.

However, we want to live together and are trying to work towards him moving to London. I contacted an Agy for guidance who said they would guaranteee a Fiance Visa, but this is too restrictive for us because it states we must marry witihn 6 months of his arrival. We wanted to apply for the unmarried / same sex visa but the Agy say we will not get it - is this the case or are they trying to get the quoted £1000?

He is a trained professional (Landscape Architect) and I am a Manager in Mental Health. So come August I will have known him 7 months, and dated 5 months .. is this going to be a problem?

P.S. He does not wish to apply for UK Citizenship as Japanese law states he can not have dual passports and he does not want to give up his Japanese nationality - it is a case of us wanting to be together and him working, not sponging.

No one can guarantee you a fiance visa so would not trust an agency who claimed they could. £1000 is also very high for such advice. They are correct about the unmarried partner visa though. You need to have been living together in a relationship akin to marriage that has lasted for at least two years.
