How to fill dependent(child) form. Appreciate ur reply

Post by tesco420 » Tue Jun 07, 2011 12:06 pm

Hello eyeryone

I have tier1 general in UK and applying for extension. I am also sending my child (born in UK) Tier 1 application as a dependant along with my application. But I did not obtain her visa/entry clearance when she was born here.

Now when I am filling her application form, there is a section regarding her entry clearance details which require us to fill details such as when did she obtain entry clearance, did she obtain before entry in UK, from which port she entered UK.

The form has a note which says:
In order to qualify further leave to remain in the UK as the dependant of a person under the points based system, the individual must have either traveled to the UK with entry clearance as the dependant of the main applicant; or have been granted leave to remain as a dependant of the main applicant. If the dependant does not meet either of these criteria it is likely that their application will be refused.

If this is the case, what do I need to fill in this section or should I leave it blank.

Please advise. Thanks

Hi,

I have recently applied for an extension with the same situation as yours, Though I am awaiting a decision .

Please leave them blank and put more details in the box containing immigration status. I have contacted the UKBA customer support and they advised to leave them blank and attach a covering letter, which I did.

The baby's birth certificate should prove what we are trying to tell. I put her immigration as 'no immigration status' as baby born here. These are my 2 cents

put a sticky note on the page stating section not applicable as child is recently born in the UK.

Also state the same in covering letter.
