ILR Eligibility - Unemployed during certain period

Post by Anonymous26 » Fri Jun 10, 2011 12:25 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am on tier-1 general and will be completing 5 yrs next year.
However, I was out of job from Sep/2009 till May/2010.
Will this cause any issue in getting my ILR?

Many Thanks in advance,
K

That won;t be an issue as long as you score points for previous earning and economically active at the time of application. (Although this is not clearly spelled out but there has been a recent instance of ILR refusal becuase the applicant was not employed at the time of application even though he scored sufficient points for earnings).

Thanks for your response. I was really worried like anything. Got some relief now :)
