I'm pretty sure the two year visitors visas are only valid for six months at a time and again, not meant as settlement visas. So I would imagine spending more than six months here on it in any one year would arouse some suspicion with the immigration folks.Hi,
This is my first post to this forum, I really hope someone can help.
I have recently sucessfully obtained a 6 months visitors visa for my grandmother, (she lives in pakistan and has come to the uk). She says that she will go back within 5 months so that she can go to the embassy and they will issue her with a 2 year visa, without having to show any papers from the sponsor, i am happy for her to stay the original 6 months, but i do not wish to support her for another 2 years as she is quite a volatile character and can get angry at the slightest thing.
i have heard many stories about this and i think what she says is true. What can i do to stop her from coming again! i'm desperate!!!!!!!!
Also is this completly true, will it not even be discussed with me if i want to support her for another two years????
Many thanks for reading and I will be greaful for any advice.
Parveen
