P60 form + Visa debit card payments

hello,

I have a few questions.

1. if I show P60 as proof of earning(along with bank statements). Would it be considered enough? I am asking as what contact details do I give for the p60 form(is it my employer?)

2. I read some where about this in this forum. I intend to use my Visa debit card for payment. Is it ok? In the guidance notes it has been mentioned Credit Card Visa /Maestro/Solo. Is it the same?Generally , I can use my visa debit card whenever i see the sign 'Visa'.

1) P60 is usually not preferable for the following reason:
"However, while we have included tax documents in the list of acceptable documents, they will rarely be of use. This is because tax documents are usually produced at the end of a fixed tax period and will therefore not show the entire period for which you are claiming previous earnings unless they are for the exact period claimed. You should therefore be cautious about using these documents unless you are sure they show the exact amount of earnings for which you are claiming points"

2) if you look at application form, you can find visa option.

1. I forgot to mention , in my case (as if by chance) I will be using the period 1 April 2010-31 March 2011. Which will be in line with the tax documents(due to it being for the same period) showing the amount I have claimed. The P60 shows the exact amount I am claiming.
Also how do they match the amounts as my bank statements will have the amount post tax deduction(would they just subtract the tax from the total pre tax pay and then match it with the bank statements). And what contact reference details do I give for p60?

2. Yes I v just read through some other forums, ppl have successfully previously used visa debit cards for the payments.

Now one more question.
Is the UK tax period 1 April - 31 March or
6 April - 5 April.
Either way can I show it as a proof of earning for the period 1 April - 31 March.
