ILR Dependant - Life in the UK test requirement

Post by HAMSAVIJAY » Sun Jun 12, 2011 7:25 pm

I'm preparing my relative's application for ILR to apply this week. His case falls under HSMP JR Policy document (entered under HSMP between Apr-7th Nov. 2006). His application is well clear that he did not need to take the life in the UK test.

Whereas for his wife who has entered UK on 10th Nov. 2006, I doubt whether she needs to take the life in the UK test or not.

This is because UKBA website says that "Dependant status will follow that of the principal applicant". In this way, I presume that my relative's wife do not need to take life in the UK test.

Please advise/clarify if you've come across similar situation. Thanks.
