Hi All,

As a way of thanking this helpful forum that was one of the main reasons I understood how to go about obtaining this permit, I am briefing my case that ended successfully with obtaining the permit.
I am Egyptian and my wife is Czech, we met in Egypt in May 2010 and got married in April 2011. Permit applied for on 12th of June 2011 and passport back with permit on 15th of June. My wife is a job seeker and I am applying as self-dependent.
Documents provided:
• A signed copy of my application submitted online.
• My valid passport & a copy of wife's valid passport.
• A copy of my old passport showing previous visas for some European countries
• Wife's letter confirming her intentions to travel to the UK and supporting my application.
• Original marriage certificate with certified English translation.
• Original copy of my birth certificate with certified English translation.
• Copies of e mail replies of wife's applications to several online job applications in the UK to show that she is actively seeking employment in the UK.
• Bank statement showing account current balance.
• A comprehensive insurance policy.
These were the main documents needed which anyone has to accompany with application.
And to prove my relationship with my wife I provided the following:
• Phone records from June to April 2010.
• Snap shots of face book wall showing some of our relationship development like some of our holidays' pictures uploaded and relationship changing from in a relationship to engagement and finally marriage.
• Photos from our wedding party and holidays before marriage where my wife wrote some comments on the back of every photo.
• Copy of email correspondences between us dated before marriage.
• A copy of the e mail invitation to our wedding to some colleagues.
I know I provided many documents to prove relationship with my wife, I just provided all what we have and it is up to you to judge how to supports your case whether with many documents as I did or with one or two only.
All the best to all of you there and thanks for every post that helped me and my wife to obtain the permit that fast.
