Tier 1 General Refusal due to Maintenance funds of GBP800/=

Hi all ,

I have received the Tier 1 General Refusal due to maintenence funds of 800GBP which were not available for the consecutive 90 dyas in my account. I did attach the bank statement of my friend for the maintenence funds but UKBA did not accept it. Furthermore i have a valid Tier 1 PSW visa until 2013, therefore i have not get the appeal right and judicial review. But in my refusal letter it mentioned that if i have no appeal right then i may submit a fresh application with all the supprting documents including new documents. But i am wondring that Tier 1 General has been permanently closed on 06 april 2011 , so how can i submit new application but the refusal letter is saying i can sumit the new application. Please advise me either i have to submit new application or go for the judicial review . Please help me out . Thanks

The money in your friend's bank account is his ... not yours, unless you were a joint account holder.

In such case, on what basis do you think your application should have been approved or that a JR can help? You have already been told that with Tier 1 (General) category now closed, you cannot apply again.

Thanks for ur reply , i know the Tier 1 General is permanently closed but in my refusal letter it mentioned that i f i have no appeal right then i may wish to submit a new application with additional documents .

Well, if you want to follow what the letter states and what you understand of it, you may go ahead and spend your time and effort to apply again. All I can say is that you'll have the application returned to you as is.
