change in salary band and its effect on ILR application

Post by friday » Fri Jun 17, 2011 3:44 pm

Hi,

I am still under my tier 1 VISA awarded in 2009. My tier 1 extension is due on June 2012.

There is a chance I might be changing jobs within a couple of months (before my tier 1 extension). my current salary £26,000 and the new job will be £29,000. The cotract for the new job is limited to 1 year so it is likely I will move again to another job before applying for ILR in 2013.

My question is: if I move to another job with less salary (£26,000) How this will affect my application for ILR due on June 2013? !

For ILR, it is mentioned that I have to meet the same critiria to that when I last extended my tier 1 exntension. My job's salary was £29,000 (when I last extended my tier 1 visa) and it will be 26,000 when I apply for ILR.

I know I should score 75 points from table 2 (apprendix A) for arrtibutes, I got 90 points assuming 26,000 salary at time of ILR application.

so in summary my salary for tier 1 : £26,000
my salary when I apply for tier 1 extension : £29,000
my salary when I apply for ILR : £ 26,000

Many thanks in advance.

No one can tell you today what the rules may be in 2013.

For current rules regarding the issue, see Urgent-ILR Salary duration.
