SET 0 form for ILR

Post by tier1extension » Sat Jun 18, 2011 8:48 am

if i am applying using combination of work permit and my current Tier 1 visa, which box in the SET 0 form category should i tick? i do not see any category that says combination of work permit and Tier 1. or should i tick two boxes, one for Tier 1 and one for work permit, since I am doing a combination?

secondly, if I also qualify for 10 yrs at same time because i have been a student here before, can i tick the 10 yrs as well to maximise my chances?

Please make an effort to search the forum for information already available.

You can apply under one category only (at a time, using a single form).

I just got a reply from the enquiry helpline of the UK Border Agency. They said to tick both boxes - the Tier 1 General box and the work permit box, and then explain to case worker I am applying on basis of combined work permit and Tier 1 General.

However, I am aware the advise above is to just tick Tier 1 General if that is my current visa even though I am applying for a combination.

So was the advice from the UK Border Agency helpline immigration enquiry bureau wrong?

I applied recently with a combination of WP and Tier1 and ticked only one, I think it is 10L in the form.

I was a WP --> Tier 1 (General) applicant. When I went for ILR in April I only had to tick the Tier 1 (General) box. You are applying as a current Tier 1 (G) not a work permit.

Hope that helps.
