declaring public funds

Post by monsoon » Thu Jun 23, 2011 12:02 pm

hi! i have a PEO appointment tom for ILR after 5 years of work permit.

should i declare that i am receiving public funds (particularly child benefit) if it is named after my EU Citizen husband for our EU Citizen son?

the payment goes to my bank account and it would definitely be seen by the caseworker. i have all the supporting documents like letter from child benefit addressed to my husband and my husband's passport page copy and birth certificate of our son with both our names as parents on it.

so in the application form, should i tick yes to the question: are you receiving public funds?

thanks in advance!

I would declare it if I were you.

as they say honesty is best policy and they can easily find out.
