hi ,
hope u guys help me out....
i am a srilankan tamil.. and i went to india with my mother in tourist visa when i was 12 years old (in 2002)
registered there with the police and did my schooling there then i joined a college and did engineering for 2 years and i discontinued the course
since i didnt like the college...after that i took voluntary exit with clearance from indian high commission and i came back to sri lanka 3 months ago...they stamped "overstayed"
in my old passport while leaving india.
*main reason for my overstay in india was due to the civil war that happened in sri lanka....and the overstay was not my decision,my mother took that decision for my safety..
after reaching sri lanka i renewed my passport and now i m planning to continue my studies in uk in tier 4 visa, while applying for visa should i submit my old passport and
will my previous overstay in india be an issue???
what should i fill in the 6.7 column of tier 4 form (vaf9) where they ask..."6.7 Have you ever been deported, removed or otherwise
required to leave any country, including the UK?"
