ILR postal application turnaround/processing time !

Hello all,

I am about to apply for my ILR in June 2011. I am a bit confused about weather i should go for same day application or apply via post.

Could you plz tell me what is the current processing time for ILR postal application ? as on UKBA site they have mentioned that it could take upto 6 months.

Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks in advance
