My wife and baby's dependent visa - Bank statement details

Post by jaig78 » Mon Aug 07, 2006 8:08 pm

Dear Moderator,

I entered UK 2 months back with HSMP visa on 3rd June'06 and started work from 18th June. I am planning to get dependent visa for my wife and daughter. They are going to apply on 17th August. As I have been working only for the past 2 months, I obviously dont have enough bank statements and pay slip details.

I am living in an rented apartment on my name and have telephone, internet and council tax bills on my name. In this case, will there be any difficulty in getting dependent visa stamped. Is there any minimum period for bank statements etc. Please advice.

And personally do you feel if there would be any reason why the application should get rejected. I have already started feeling lonely here and am desperately waiting to get my family with me here.

Thanks,

You need to be able to demonstrate that you will be able to look after your family without recourse to public funds

Thanks for your reply.

I have sent the following documents to my wife for supporting the application;

1) my bank statement with some 4k in the account,
2) Present employer - employment contract (£24k)
3) one month pay slip
4) telephone bill
5) council tax bill
6) internet bill
7) initial HSMP approval letter
8.) my passport copy
9) sponsor letter saying that i am going to sponsor for my wife and daughter's travel and stay.

Will this be sufficient to convince that I need no public funds to support my family?
