Canadian Immigration applied in 2004

Post by adamboston » Thu Jun 02, 2011 11:39 am

Hello Everyone

I have tried to search 'Canada Forum' but couldn't find the answer to my question. Actually I am asking on behalf of my cousin who applied for Canadian Immigration from Pakistan in 2004. To date we have recieved no information apart from the fact that the case details were transferred to London office a while ago. Also she (cousin) has been checking the online status, of the her application, on their website which is showing 'Decision Made' since April 2010.

She has now exhausted all the options i.e. phone, letters, emails etc but there is no way to find out what the actual decision. Can someone please advice who to contact or where to go as we have no way to find out the outcome of the application whatsoever.

Many thanks in Advance.

Looks like she has tried every possible way of contacting CHC - short of turning up at one of their offices (they don't like that and may refuse to see her).

If she has not been asked to send in her documents, or has sent her docs and not had a medical request, and the status shows 'decision made', that would suggest that they are not proceeding with her application, ie she has been rejected by the London office, and the notification has been lost in transit (emails notoriously risky from CHC). Unless there has been an error of course.

If she applied in 2004 - that is a very long time ago even by CHC standards. CHC are now also lumping a further 2 years on the wait for skilled worker visa processing (in addition to the previous 42 - 48 months), for those who applied before feb 2008.

Thank you very kindly Richter.

After reading your reply I suggested my cousin to try to contact CHC in Islamabad again. It's been almost four weeks now but now reply. She told me she did receive a letter in 2009 asking for her to send a copy of her older sister's PR card (who lives in Ontario - Canada) which she sent to London address straight away.

Now the 'Decision Made' status on their website has also disappeared. Very confusing and quite frustrating. :x :x :x

Thanks again for your help. :)

Hmm. This is a weird one. Perhaps the 'decision made' was a mistake.

Your cousin can apply for her CAIPS notes via the CIC website to see what has been going on. These will give you details of all the activity carried out on her application by CHC.
