application based on marriage to Irish citizen

Post by LuciaChange » Tue Jul 12, 2011 3:22 pm

Dear all experts,

if you can kindly help me to understand how to prepare the new form that was introduce on June 24,2011

there are 2 requirement for my application based on marriage to a Irish citizen that i don't understand

- Copies of 3 different proofs of residence in the State for both applicant and spouse for 3 months prior to the date of application showing date and name and current address. Proofs include household bills (gas, electricity, phone or cable/satellite TV), bank Statements, revenue, mortgage agreement, social welfare, letter from employment, doctors letter etc.

-Evidence of residency permission i.e. a copy of your passport(s) showing residency permission stamps for a period of 1 year immediately prior to the application and 2 years in the 4 year period before that, equalling 3 years in total, or alternatively proof of residence in the State for this period. Please submit three different proofs of residence for each year showing your name and address and date of issue i.e. household bills (gas, electricity, phone or cable/satellite TV), bank statements, revenue letters, mortgage agreement, social welfare, letter from employment, doctors letter etc.

I plan to submit my application before this August. Per the 1st requirement, I already have to provide the proof of residence in Ireland for 3 months prior to the date of application (It'd the year of 2011 )
And per 2nd requirement, I have to provide 3 different proofs of residence for each year. In my case it'd be from 2007 to 2011.

1st Q: Does that mean i have to provide proof doc for 2011 twice? or one set of proof for 2011 is enough?

2nd Q: Does medical cert I got for sick leave (it has my name, address & date) count as proof of residence? How about letter from VHI? Travel insurance, college receipt of payment...etc.
( Medical Cert, VHI receipt, the documents i mentioned above all has my name, address & date)

Can anyone provide more example of what can count as poof of residence?

since I found it challenging to back track the document ack to 2007! and some of my documents are in old address ( since i move house 3 times since then) and it's not possible to get things transfered right away in this country. Now i regret so mucn i wasn't organized to get the paper work updated then!! :(

Another requirement i found it challenging is:

- Letter from your current and previous employers covering employment dates from your date of arrival to date of application, showing commencement and finish dates for each job.

My 1st company got bought by other company and the company name has changed since, what am I supposed to do get the letter? what happened if i couldn't get a letter from them?

Though i found P45 from my 1st job, but the address on the P45 isn't correct. Would it not be confusing if i submit the P45 ( which shows commencemt and finish dates for the job) with incorrect address?

I would really really appreciate any feedback, suggestion on this new form requirement.

THANK YOU!!!!!

what i gather is all you have to show for is joint proof of address for 3 months. in the second one its your stamps that will count if you dont have them then you adding the proof of residence...? how about your P21 have you got them yearly from revenue also every year revenue sends tax credit cert that is proof of address, also tv license, sky/chrous bills, old leases with landlords (if registered with PRTB much better) all counts towards proof of address. it is banks that insists for only bank statements or esb/bord gais bill when opening up accounts/loans with them other places not as strict anything official with your address counts.
