phoning UKBA for an update

I noticed a lot of people are getting a status update on the phone.
Could someone please give me the phone number they are using, and the menu options they chose?

When I call 0151 6725626 and choose the logical menu choices, I get a recording saying " updates are not available for applicants who have sent their application in the last 6 months. ( I'm paraphrasing here)

Thanks for the reply. That number seems to go to the same service, with no option to talk to an actual person. Just recordings.

Try pressing 1 then 2 (or 2 then 1, don't remember), and you will get through.
Officially they don't give updates before 6 months but if you are nice, they might. If not, just wait 5 minutes and try again.

I didn't realise people were deliberately choosinging the wrong options, not that I feel guilty after paying £836

its working but ofcourse you have to wait in the Q ok but its deffo works

It s been a lot better today ,it did tell i am no 14 in Q .It didnt happen earlier.

yeah i have noticed that one aswel its alwyas in wait but never said you are in a Q No. i was in number 16 2day and it took about 9 min to get through to call advisor
