ILR with more than 3 months absence: need advice

Post by chupa » Thu Jul 21, 2011 5:24 pm

Hi,

I am new to the forum and need an advice.
I am going to apply for ILR and was absent from the UK for more than 3 months. In particular, while i was on holiday i contracted hepatitis B and spent several months in the hospital. I am now fully recovered and clear of the virus. I did blood tests in the UK that prove that. But i am worried to show this evidence as people are often confused different types of hepatitis. On the other side, if i don;t show the evidence - i will unlikely get my ILR approve. can anyone advice? would be gratefulf for any advice

thanks

where did you contracted the virus? and where did you take your treatment? i guess back home? if so, HO might insist on why you didnt take treatment here in the UK?

i have seen so many refusals for ppl going back home for child delivery, medical treatments whereas they should have done it here..

unless you can prove this treatment could not have been done in the UK, or you were required urgent medical treatment in the country where contracted the virus while on holiday & you have given strong evidance to cover the points mentioned above, your chances will be better.

what is yout total absence over the last 5 years? ant absence more than 3 months sta a stretch?

thank you for the reply.
i went home for visit and was informed of risk of premature child birth. so i stayed and give birth at home. underwent two surgical operations and likely was infected during those. couple and half months later was hospitalized with acute hepatitis b. stayed in the hospital for several weeks and then underwent out-ptient treatment given severe form liver inflamation. as soon as felt well enough returned back to the uk and resumed employment.
