Hi everyone! Im from Philippines and soon to get married to a British national.
I have met my British fiancee last year through a common friend when he was assigned to work in China so he right away come visit me here to met me in person and leaded to continous meeting as he really had a trip here to met me every 2 weeks. July last year he have stayed and lived with me here until January 2011 when he went back to the UK and came back to me here in March as we have to plan together for our wedding which will be next month August. My concern is-- my fiancee has stopped working since July2010 when he lived with me here and due to circumstances a very tragic family problem he couldn't go back to China to work with his dad in their family company anymore which is why after our wedding next month he has to go back to UK to get a job, he worked as a self-employed Mechanical Engineer and have been working for 12years for various companies in England all over Europe.
I really need your help and advice about what's best thing I would do to apply for spouse visa to UK with my situation that I think have negative things to hinder my spouse visa approval such as:
1. Considering my fiancee or will used the word husband as by next month before my visa application we will be married already, when my husband go back to Uk after our wedding next month and for a short period of being together as married couple does it caused any problem for my application? but ECO should have to consider that we have met, my fiancee have lived with me here for almost a year already....Or it would help if my husband would go with me to the British embassy here for my spouse vsa application before he go back to UK?
2. My husband has stopped workin since July last year and obviously no income when he was here just used his savings and I mostly helped for our expenses as I am a professional with proper job. But It says in the requirements that a British husband should be financially stable enough to support his spouse when she joined her in UK and won't use any public funds. Im worried as my husband by then just gonna start to work in UK and doesn't have 6months bank statement on my spouse visa application next month.
3. What are other helpful documents I have to prepare to present or to submit to the British embassy for my spouse visa application? Any website that I can further study and get more insights about ths matter? I also need a link of the British embassy website with spouse visa requirements/applications and fees.
Thank you so much for reading my post and hope I could hear from you soon as I believe your brilliant minds could really give me reliable good advice.
