Please give me an advise.

Dear all,

I am a General Student and have right to work 20 hours per week.

Last 8 months I was working for a company 20 hours per week. Recently I received an offer from other employer and agreed. I said to my company that I want to leave the job and they agreed and said that they need to pay me the money for hours I worked.

After a few weeks they send me another salary and a payslip and in the payslip it was mention that they transferred my salary for the weeks that I did not work, i.e. the weeks that I already work with other employer. I contacted them and asked why they transferred the money for days I didn't work and they answered that it is was for the days for which I didn't receive the salary, but they transferred it now and mentioned in the payslip not the exact month of my working, but this current month. So, now it is like I worked 1 month in two different places 20 hours, i.e. 40 hours per week and received payslips and paid taxes for that hours. I said that I don't want that money and don't want to break the law because of them, but they said, that they already paid all the taxes and nothing they can do.

Now I really afraid that I will have problems with UKBA.

So, my question to you is the following:

1) What can I do to avoid problems?
2) Is UKBA really checks everything with HMRC and can find me immediately? Because for them I broke the law and I never can proof that I didn't work on that period of time.
3) If nothing will happen and I will extend my visa to PSW, do I need to mention NI there or not?

Thank you in advance. I deeply appreciate your responses. And please learn a lesson from my story and not allow stupid employers cheat you and create problems for your future!

1) you cant do anything to avoid problems as you are not supply payslips to ukba while applying for psw as long as your salary highlights more money in ur statement while appying for psw.

2) UKBA wont check every application with HMRC until your application raises its eye brows but if at all it checks HMRC wont be having your weekly extra hours working details because some employers submit their employees tax details say annually ( experts watch this i many be wrong)

3)you have to mention your NI as you have one.

so you are nearing to apply for PSW then you may have finished your course so until you receive your certificate or your graduation ceremony you can work full time.

i think there wont be any problem, if at all thre is a problem what can you do, r u going to change the tax details or do another pay slip ?

try to show another bank statement where you maintain £800
