I am applying to get visa extension for two years but my India passport is valid for one more year.
Is home office will extend my visa for two years or upto validity of passport?
Thanks for reading but I will be grateful if you kindly advice me. If home office gives one year visa, then I have to reissue indian passport on tatkal scheme.

Re-issue of Passports
A new passport can be issued on the expiry, or up to one year before expiry of any passport which had an initial validity of 10 years.
U can apply with current passport they will give you 2 years visa. After expiry of your current passport you have to carry your old as well as new passport while travelling as your old passport will have your valid visa.
You dont need to transfer your visa to your new passport as long as you carry your old passport. All these informations will be endorsed on your new passport.
In the meantime you can apply for the new passport i mean after getting your visa on current passport.
To apply for visa your passport should be valid min of 6 months.
