money dip down below 800 for 3 hours

Post by ecclipse28 » Tue Jul 26, 2011 9:14 am

Here is my situation
I am planning to apply for PSW in September ( my student visa will be expired on 17th of October, 2011) However on the 89th day before my Visa expire which is afew days ago ) 21th of July,2011) My bank account dip below 800 pound since I have to pay for my rent. However I installed the money immediately before the bank closing time 330pm ( so the balance of that day is 1000 pound ) My bank is lloyds, they print out every transaction instead of daily balance of the bank account. I wonder in this case I would success in my PSW application, or more likely to success in in-person application?

Looking forward to hear from anyone who had the similar experience...

Don't worry, you will be okay. The closing balance of the day in question, i.e. £1000, would be taken into account for your application. This is specified in the PSW Guidance. Check point 101 on page 20 - "Where an applicant is providing evidence of maintenance from a single account, we will always assess the funds available to an applicant from the closing balance given on the document provided."

Hope this helps.

You are ignoring para 94 which also states that the required amount must be held for a consecutive 90 day period. The rules also state this. Para 101 of the guidance just explains the date from which they will count back the 90 days i.e. From the closing balance. Try reading all of the guidance/rules rather than quoting one para out of context.

Not really, this is the only account I have in London, my family already prepare me another account back in home for incase. I went to 3 attorney in these days, and they told me it should be fine, so I would love to give it a try, but would probably need to try premium one since it is faster. I already got two working offer but the one that i prefer stated that in the contract my visa status should be cleared and the other can wait for me if i really need to go back home. however if i unfortunately need to do that then i can only back in london by the end of this year.... hopefully the people who have been through the same thing (account/premium) can shed the light over this issue...
